First Step: Explore your entrepreneurial spirit. Develop an idea and build a foundation of skills and knowledge to prepare you to start or grow your business.
Next Step: Work with AWE to build, update or improve, and implement your business plan through our program services tailored to meet each client’s needs.
How can NextStep to Success help you?
Sharing experience and knowledge through mentoring and coaching.
Examples:
~ creating a strong business plan
~ building a network of resources
Providing access to learning opportunities related to owning and managing
your own business.
Examples:
~ business skills training
~ workshops
~ tradeshows
~ conferences
Offering non-traditional financing for business ventures.
Example:
~ loans up to $10,000 that can be supplemented by other sources of financing
~ If qualified will be able to access loans up to $150,000
What is required?
~ ownership and control of at least 50% of the business by an Aboriginal woman
~ residence and business location in Alberta
~ 18 years or older
~ a strong idea and personal commitment
