Kathy Leskow, owner of Confetti Sweets, was a stay-at-home mom with a sweet tooth and big ambitions.

She started off baking cookies in her home kitchen and selling them at local farmer’s markets. Soon her oven couldn’t keep up with the demand for her totally awesome sweets, so she bought a commercial oven. Before she knew it, Kathy was running a fully-functional bakery out of her basement, with a dozen staff.

Kathy secured a storefront for Confetti Sweets in 2014 and has since brought her cookies to the Oscars twice, added a second store location in Edmonton, grown her team to 25 employees, expanded her farmer’s market reach in Alberta and has secured a spot in Save-On-Foods locations throughout Edmonton and area.

Kathy has a commerce degree from the University of Lethbridge with a major in marketing and has experience in the event planning and hospitality industries.Kathy is an active part of the day-to-day operations of Confetti Sweets. She is no longer found scooping cookie dough and baking, but working on growing the business and seizing all opportunities that come her way.
