Kristi Hines, Hines Health Services
As an occupational health and safety professional, entrepreneur and community leader, Kristi Hines is at the forefront of medical testing and assessment in the workplace.
Formerly working as an occupational health nurse in the oilsands sector at Syncrude Canada, she left the company to become founder and director of Hines Health Services (HHS) and has been helping clients access medical testing with ease for seven years.
Today, HHS has a national network with 120 affiliate locations across Canada to help assist thousands of employees through businesses in numerous sectors in oil and gas, construction and government, to name a few.
In 2017, HHS was named the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Small Business of the Year’ and recently received the ‘Professional Services Business of the Year’ in 2018.
Through HHS, Kristi leads a diverse team of highly qualified nurses, physicians and support staff at the company’s headquarters in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
She remains progressive in her field and invests in education through her partnerships with Keyano College and University of Alberta’s Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing, where she mentors nursing students through practicum-based learning.
As a mother to three children, she is dedicated to her family as she is her community and works towards making it a great place to live, work and play. Her career and philanthropic efforts awarded her with a ‘Women of Inspiration’ title from Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta and Syncrude Canada.
Kristi’s newest project is working on an impairment app called WAIT.
