Nicole Kaskamin

Nicole Kaskamin is the Vice President of People & Culture with Mikisew Group of Companies. With 14+ years of experience, her background spans Alberta’s oil & gas industry, health, safety & environment, and human resources.
Nicole is an executive leader whose work centres on organizational strategy, leadership development, workforce planning, and building workplace cultures where people can succeed. She brings a people-and-culture lens grounded in hands-on operational experience, a combination that helps organizations turn strategy into results.
Nicole is especially passionate about Indigenous workforce development. She has created employment pathways, developed Indigenous talent, and strengthened connections between Indigenous employees, communities, and industry. A member of Mikisew Cree First Nation, she carries this perspective into the work she does and the causes she supports.
What drives Nicole is developing people and creating opportunities. She believes organizations thrive when individuals are given room to grow, and she is committed to helping build environments that make that possible.
Nicole joins the AWE Board with a passion for community impact and a strong commitment to supporting the growth and success of Alberta's entrepreneurial ecosystem. Her career, enthusiasm for AWE's mission, and genuine desire to contribute to the organization's future make her a valued addition to the Board. Outside of her executive role, she is eager to share her experience in service of the broader community.
