Meet our Board

Our Board is comprised of a diverse group of professionals with a passion for assisting women entrepreneurs achieve their business goals while contributing to the economic benefit of Alberta. Our mission is to provide support and guidance for AWE and promote entrepreneurship as a viable business option for women. Board members have a variety of business experience, and devote their valuable time serving the organization.

Currently, we are looking to fill the Secretary position on the Board. Individuals interested in serving as Secretary for AWE’s Board of Directors can submit a cover letter and resume with the subject line “Board Secretary” to info@awebusiness.com. Selected Directors are elected by the Members at the Annual General Meeting, serve for a two-year term and are eligible for election for any number of terms. Directors may be released at the end of the elected term, by resigning, or according to AWE’s bylaws and process.

AWE’s Board has adopted the Carver model of governance and operates as a Policy Board.

NOTICE of Annual General Meeting OF Alberta Women Entrepreneurs Association

TAKE NOTICE that the 2019 Annual General Meeting of the members of the Association will be held at Alberta Women Entrepreneurs #308, 10310 Jasper Avenue at 8:00 am on the 19 day of September, 2019.

THE Business to come before this meeting will be as follows:

  1. The report of the Directors for the past year;

  2. The acceptance of the slate of Directors for the ensuing year;

  3. The transaction of such other business as may properly be brought before the meeting.
