Eliana Salazar, CFO
Eliana is passionate about people and throughout her career has sought opportunities to combine this with a focused approach to assisting people to build stronger business practices. Exposure to various business cultures and widely divergent professional experiences has given her the comfort level to work effectively for a variety of private companies and now within a not-for-profit environment at AWE, where, in 2012, she joined our Finance team.
After completing her studies, Eliana moved from Colombia to USA in 2000, and then in 2007 came to Canada to explore our culture and new career challenges.
With a degree in Business Administration from University Luis Amigo (Medellin-Colombia) and a certification in Payroll Compliance Practitioner (Canadian Payroll Association– Montreal QC), Eliana is well prepared to meet the challenges presented to her at AWE and her multi-cultural background adds additional depth to AWE and those we serve.
Eliana has over 20 years of experience in various accounting positions in the restaurant and transportation private industries. She has worked both in the United States and Canada for 20 years, She earned her accounting designation in Colombia and graduated from Institute of Tabulation and Commerce, Colombia SA.
