Loan Process Guide

Thank you for your interest in our loan program! Please read the information below that outlines the steps in our loan assessment process. Please confirm your Eligibility before starting the process or meet with our Business Advisor. *Please note our assessment process takes 4-6 weeks once we have received all required documentation.

Step 1: Submit our Ready for Financing Quiz below.

Step 2: If the quiz or Business Advisor determines that you are not ready for financing, we will send you some links to prepare. We offer specific programming for helping with Business Plans and Financial Projections.

Step 3: If you are ready, you will be sent the Loan Assessment link.

If you have not met the requirements after submitting, you will receive an email that the assessment is incomplete. You will also receive resources to help you complete it. If your assessment is both eligible for finding and complete, you will receive an email with next steps.

Step 4: Complete and submit the online Loan Assessment. A government issued photo identification and proof of Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency will have to be provided. Instructions will be sent via email on how to pay the loan application fee. Please note, we have different loan application fees for each program, and they are as follows

Growth Loan = $600 Loan Admin Fee (Application fee is included) on loans larger than $51,000.
*Capital Growth Initiative Loan = $700 Loan Admin Fee (Application fee is included)
Flex Loan = $100 Loan Admin Fee

If there are multiple business owners, each owner will have to complete a borrower section in the assessment. The initial loan applicant will invite the other owners to apply before they submit their loan assessment. Payments can be made here.

Step 5: We will review your submission, complete our loan evaluation and present to the Loan Committee. In the meantime, you will receive an email stating that your application is complete. If you are approved and you accept our loan offer, the following loan administration fees will apply: Growth Loan = 1% of loan amount up to $500. You will be notified of the final decision.

This step can take 7 - 10 business days.
