AWE is thrilled to announce our collaboration with the esteemed PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise!

Founded in 1995, PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise works to empower women, strengthen small businesses, and promote community economic development.

The PARO Prosper Circles Project provides a range of services to help women entrepreneurs at all stages to start, grow and scale-up their businesses across Canada in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, NewFoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Saskatchewan!

AWE will be collaborating with the PARO Prosper Circles Project to help women entrepreneurs to access the programming carefully curated to empower, educate, and connect women entrepreneurs.

Peer Prosper Circles are small groups of four to seven like-minded women who meet regularly to share their experiences, offer advice to each other, and expand their individual shared contact networks. Women entrepreneurs with peer support are up to 7 times more likely to succeed as a business! By joining or starting a Circle, you may be eligible for business microloans with a grant portion through PARO Prosper Circle Lending Program. These loans can help women build business credit and confidence in lending.

Highly focused BIZCamps such as Investoready, FoodPreneur, and the Green Economy, with 6-12 weeks sessions in small cohorts with guest speakers, networking, mentorship and relevant industry expert facilitators for women entrepreneurs.

Business Advisory Committees operate regionally in Eastern, Central and Western Canada, and support entrepreneurs with expert and targeted assistance in solving business problems and responding to the needs of clients.

Free one-on-one Business Advising sessions provide the opportunity to discuss and receive support with the start-up, growing or scale-up company. The sessions cover problem-solving, planning, marketing and business plans, specific business resources, and so much more.

Looking to expand your horizons? Visit our programs and webinars page for a sneak peek into what PARO has lined up next. It's more than an event; it's an opportunity to grow, learn, and connect.

Let's celebrate this partnership and the power of women supporting women in business. Together, we're not just growing businesses; we're building a vibrant community of successful women entrepreneurs! Get involved at www.paro.ca/prospercircles

The Manitoba Women’s Enterprise Centre is a non-profit organization funded by Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan) that provides business training, advising, financing, and networking opportunities for self-identifying women, non-binary, and Two-Spirit entrepreneurs in Manitoba.

The Strength in Community Workshops (SCW), presented in partnership with Alberta Women Entrepreneurs and facilitated by the Manitoba Women’s Enterprise Centre (MWEC), are coming to Alberta starting with SCW 1.0 Building Personal Leadership – a 5-week workshop series for self-identifying women, non-binary, and Two-Spirit entrepreneurs to grow their entrepreneurial capacity through community.

The Strength in Community Workshops bring valued programming to women entrepreneurs in Alberta and across six other provinces. The program expands support to rural and northern regions and is delivered to both English and French-speaking entrepreneurs.

“The confidence and the strength I gained in the program helped me push myself past those limits I couldn’t overcome before,” said Lindsay Routhier, Strength in Community alumna from Southern Manitoba. “If I could bottle up the amount of support you feel in those groups and sell it, I would be a millionaire.”

SCW 1.0 is delivered virtually and facilitated by Geraldine De Braune, Integrative Coach. Participants will experience community and connection through facilitated learning, practical application, open discussion, and aided by learning from each other.

“In SCW 1.0 we do a gorgeous deep dive into those core, foundational pieces of personal leadership that really build inner confidence for entrepreneurs,” says Geraldine De Braune.

Give your entrepreneurial passion roots and wings by gaining clarity, discovering possibility, and building inner capacity in the mirror of community with SCW 1.0 Building Personal Leadership. Dates announced soon!
