Jackie Duffy, Financial Administrator
Jackie Duffy is a Financing Administrator at the Alberta Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) joining the team in 2021. She has more than 25 years of experience in the financial and payroll industry with most of her experience in the Oil and Gas sector of a family operated company of Canadian Land Surveyors. Gaining her Payroll Compliance Practitioner designation (PCP) in 2013, Jackie uses this knowledge daily assisting her position, her friends and family with payroll and tax expertise.
Prior to joining AWE in 2021, Jackie was the Payroll Supervisor for the Lurana Shelter, a not-for-profit shelter aiding women and children in domestic violence situations. Her position mainly focused on general accounting, navigating government grants, charitable donations, financial reporting, audits, and bi-weekly payroll.
Jackie's passion has always been traveling and exploring, visiting new places. At the age of 21, Jackie packed her bags and moved overseas to Dubai, UAE where she spent 15 years working in a private medical practice. She met many wonderful lifelong friends who she still visits across the globe to this day.
When she isn’t busy traveling, she can be found spending time with family, walking in the river valley, or using her e-bike to explore new Edmonton trails, where she can pursue her love of nature.
